Conceived and built
by former owner Stephen Meinstein in 1986, the 9 Hole course was designed
by Don Josberger. All greens were planted with Penncross creeping
bentgrass on a mixed sand and native soil base. The natural fertility of
the resident soil allows for minimal applications of fertilizer and other
chemicals commonly associated with turf maintenance. Superior drainage
throughout the property precludes standing water; it is simply never
found on the course - even minutes after a heavy downpour, the course is
ready to play. Each putting surface is irrigated via a subterranean hose
box located adjacent to each green. The greens are cut to a maximum 5/32"
every day with a Toro Greensmaster 3000 triplex mower.
