Well… it’s Wednesday in Mid-May … traditionally a month where greens irrigation is a must… one of our drier months… but not in 2025 and not on Wednesday. I know that at 0930 it’s not raining, but the “Wundermap” future radar shows patches of green throughout the day. Two seasons ago we agreed as a league that we should follow a “nobody gets soaked” policy and so… with rain in the forecast even sporadically right through Saturday I felt it best to push off our opening day until next Wednesday. With that said the sun will probably burn through the cloud cover late this afternoon confirming that as a weather forecaster I leave much to be desired… so if you need to scratch a golfing itch show up this afternoon (hopefully with your $80 league fee) and play a practice round and submit a 2025 score for your league handicap…
