Well in spite of weather forecasts that once again looked glum we managed to get week 1 played… Lenny/Derrick played on Thursday to help alleviate the “3 teams need golf carts and only 2 work” problem (solution to that is forthcoming) … note that we’re finally catching up on mowing… and perhaps we’ll have a few dry weeks (This week promises to be sunny and near 90 degrees!) as the season progresses… sure hope so!
On the near pin / skins front Bill Drew managed to snag one of each… his birdie on #5 and his near pin on #7 earns him a cool $24.75 (even though he three putted #7 for a bogie… should that even count?) Mitch took 2 skins ($13.50) on his first two holes and Mike Lor grabbed a skin ($6.75) with the only par on hole 4.
