So here’s the schedule for our final week… 1st place plays 2nd, 3rd plays 4th, 5th plays 6th, 7th plays 8th, 9th plays 10th … will we have ANY changes in position?
Weather was golf-perfect; course conditions improving. New pin positions on holes 1, 3, 7, and 9 seemed to tame scores league-wide. We had a rare $30 skins carry over and lo and behold it was Ron K. who popped his skins cherry with the only birdie on the oft aced hole #6. But lo his was not the only skin… John M got his skin with a birdie on #2 (and his chip in birdie on #7 pushed Mitch’s birdie – but Mitch got his with the only birdie on the par 4 9th). So the pot got divvied three ways: $22 John M., $22 Ron K., $44 Mitch (who also took near pin with a deserving 3′ 10″ tee shot on #7)
Next week’s contest will be an on or off green near pin on Little River #8… $5 be in it to win the last contest of the season…

If you’re not going to make your match please (1) try to secure substitute(s) to give your opponents a live game (2) call / message your opponents to let them know (3) realize that your administrator really isn’t in the business of chasing you down to ask if you’re going to make your match or to find a substitute … he’s got a few other things to do beyond cleaning up after you.The “Gold Tee Boys” won 2 holes but dropped holes 3, 6, and 8 2-0 and just couldn’t keep pace with the now red hot defending champsThe original “Giant Killers” were only a point down after 5 holes but holes 6, 7, and 8 proved to be their Waterloo as Chris played the 3 hole stretch at 2 over par and (Welcome Back) Florencio smoked the field with a sizzling and handicap slashing 42 net 25Team 6 had notions of regaining or at least gaining on the ex-champs but the Hull family had other ideas. Andrew / Jerrod could only muster a single 1.5-.5 hole win as Mitch/Larry doubled them up 12-6In the week’s closest match, Two Gloves Kenny J kept up his steady handicap decline with a well played 37 net 30 and his partner Ron K. broke out a week’s best 42 net 24 (to go along with his skin winning birdie on hole #6) to offset well played Yvan/John Z net 32/31 respectively
