Perhaps you weren’t aware that the first tournament of the season will be held Saturday morning, June 20… 8AM first tee time. Two player teams, $50/player. Eighteen holes – 9 hole scramble for the first nine; then reset foursomes by score and play 9 holes of “four ball” aka “better ball” to decide the winners. MGC handicapped players will be scored both gross and net. Depending upon turnout I’d like to award at least 1st, 2nd, (random draw) (gross) and 1st place (net) (if that team hasn’t already won a prize)… Cooking up a bunch of Lexington, NC style pork shoulders for post- golf. With an 8AM tee off we should be done around lunchtime… Could there be a pony keg of malty beverage to slake our thirst and keep us properly hydrated on the longest day of the year? You never know… Conditions will be as good as they get!
