Match 13 – Round Robin complete

A 14 team league takes 13 matches to play everybody once… and so we have. The next 5 weeks will see the top 6 teams play each other once again; the remaining 8 teams will play 5 matches and so won’t be able to play the other 7 teams… I’m awaiting one last match (Gary H. was working at Belleayre and couldn’t play Wednesday… the last match will be played Thursday afternoon.

Near Pin / Skins had a nice turnout to try for the $28 near pin carry over … but hole #4 yielded NO winners… so for next week there will be a $62 carry over on hole #5 … Somebody’s going to win BIG!!! Check the skins link below to find the THREE players whose birdies divided up this week’s $51 pot for a $17 win each

Hope to see many of you at our Saturday Sunset Scramble… even if you haven’t put together a team of 4 do stop by as we’ll fit you into the tournament. Besides… we’ll be showing “Happy Gilmore” on the big screen and serving burgers, dogs, and popcorn.

If you won’t or can’t make the Sunset Scramble perhaps you’ll play in The (3rd) East Branch Short Course Team Championship… This year it will be played on Saturday, August 27… get your team together!

Both John and Yvon played tough against Mike / Jonathan and matched them in net strokes but Team 14 played just too steady (8 pars, 10 bogies, no doubles or higher)
Another really close match – looks like the 4th hole turned the tide to Zach / Justin
A close one… Ken/James edge Dan/Gary and hold second place. They took the team medal points by two strokes and that accounts for 8 of their 10 point margin of victory.
Russ & substitute Aarne Lofgren played a tough match against the determined team of Tony Tanner/ Lou Capello aka The Giant Killers.
The Hulls hang on for yet another week as they edged Derrick / Lenny – the margin of victory is seemingly the result of winning holes 8 and 9 14-2
new sub Marcel played for “GET WELL SOON Ron” and found it a lot easier to post scores when playing alone then playing with a partner – the putter gets a lot heavier!… of course a newly resurgent Skip shooting a 40 net 29 made things even more difficult.
Jamie/Chris continue to hold onto first place in spite of Dustin/Casey posting net par… a REALLY close and well played match where that two stroke net spread was the difference maker for the winning team
